The Price is Wrong...

This is my niece Melissa with Hill. Mel received "The Price is Right" tickets from her ex-fiancee. Forget the tickets are free!!


We, Mel, Hill, my sister-in-law Sara and I, decided to use the tickets and go to Hollywood to win our "fortunes" !! We could all use a fortune about now, along with the rest of America !!

We went the afternoon before and stayed in a lovely hotel in Hollywood. We shared a room and split the cost!! As you can see by the pictures it was really nice and the views were awesome. But that is where the story gets ugly.... 'cuz someone snores !!

I picked the restaurant, it was an old diner type in the old "Farmers Market" in Hollywood. (The biggest mistake I made on the trip was choosing the restaurant, cuz then it was my fault it was not good !!) It was really cute and the waitresses' wore the old uniforms and the little hats too !! After eating do these people look happy?? Okay I ordered the crab cakes... you know the story!! Yuck !! But they did give us souvenir menus from 1938???

We did get in some sight seeing and shopping, which we kept to mostly the window kind.

Here the girls are showing us what they think of the guy who charged us $12.00 to park for an hour and a half, although the sign said the first two hours are free!! He said the fine print says if the restaurant validates your ticket !! I thought my sister-in-law was going to kick him in the pants !! I paid in a hurry before she could get out of the car !! lol



The next morning Mel and I were up at 5 and in line by 6am, cuz even if you have tickets you have to also get an order of arrival ticket??? So basically the tickets they send you mean nothing !! However the line was around the block when we got there?? Their were people who had been in line from 4am??? Are they on drugs, we have tickets, I was thinking??? But it doesn't pay to think where the Price is Right goes !!! So the rest of the story goes like this, they let big groups of 15 people or more go first !!! We were 4 strong... Then they take special favor tickets?? Who you do favors for I don't know. Then they only seat 300 people and they hand out tickets of 600??? Who do they think they are an airline???? Then they tell us we can't take pictures even of the parking lot?? Of course that was after I had taken these pictures??? At least they didn't confiscate my camera, that would have been the kicker. So as it turns out not only didn't we get called to "come on down" we didn't even get to watch the show be taped???

Do these people look happy? None of these people got in either!!! They tried to get us to wait around for the 4pm taping, but couldn't guarantee we would get in... I think not !!! Who ever is in charge needs to be fired !! I should be in charge cuz then it truly would be first come first in, as they kept saying. It wasn't true one group was an hour late and they still went in ahead of those of us who had been sitting there all morning... So, I say the "Price is Wrong" !!!!!!

One good thing I got out of this was pictures of the Guitar Center for my nephew Bryce !! It was a very large one I'm sure now he knows it's there he will be visiting it, he is our "Guitar Man".
