Friday in Clovis Cal

Friday night in Clovis is one thing I look forward to all week when I'm slaving away helping those in need get their lives straighten out. Now if someone would just help me get mine in order?? lol












This is my new little friend. She was so adorable, she picked me and Hill out as people to dance for. She truly made me happy.
























This is just so uplifting to my spirit to see all of these people dancing to whatever the music is. No picture of the band this week, my cell phone took blurry pictures this time.

A Father's Day Tale !!!!

Tonight I went to visit my parents to take my dad a Father's day card. The first picture is them in the front yard sitting at the table my dad built from paticle board. The second is my mom with her Phase 10 hand of cards. Third would be my dad with his hand of cards. Okay for the funny part, the ice chest that holds the phones, pens and anything else they need, and the two score sheets !!! They both keep score because they play for a dollar a game and neither one trusts the other one !!! ROTFL they are a riot !! They argue and get mad yet they play card games everyday. Unfortunalely for my mom tonight was dad's turn to have a run of luck !! It is really funny, but I think it is what keeps them both going, trying to out do the other one !! For me this works what ever it takes to keep them going !! I love them and really did enjoy my time with them, they don't even mind me laughing at them !!!

Clovis is a way of life !!!

What a fun place to live !! I am truly blessed to live here. Again last night I met my sweet mom and dad out at the Farmer's market. I love to spend this time with them. They enjoy listening to the music and being around people. They especially like watching the little children dance to whatever the music is. And of course they always have an opinion on the band...I took pictures of the children dancing and some of the adults too !! The band was not as good as last weeks, but it was still okay !!

This is Treeva's son Kamron. He is the politest 4 year old I know !! He loves anything cowboy and he loves firetrucks.













This is Brenda's daughter Treeva's daughter Gabby. She is in foster care but we get to see her quite often when Treeva has her. Treeva is doing so good !!

Friday's in Clovis !!

I have my sister's children this weekend and this is Jenna riding the pony !!! At the Farmers Market !!













I feel truly blessed to live in Clovis !!! Where else can you go and listen to a band play in a family atmosphere !! for free !!! Tonight it was a country band that really had an awesome lead singer, he sounded like on of my favorite country singers, Neal McCoy !!! And when he sang Garth Brook's "The Dance" I was truly moved to tears, cuz that song always makes me cry !!! This is where I will be spending my Fridays at least until the weather changes for the worst !!! Here are some pictures I took from my phone so they are probably not the best !!

What I miss about Relief Society !!! LOL

I love Relief Society, but for now my place is with my little Sunbeams !!! What it says at the bottom of the picture is, "Today's lesson is on the Gospel in its simplicity" ... hehehe

Pray for our country !!

I received this from a friend: I agree so I am posting it here. It reminds me of the Book of Mormon and Nephi"s prayers for his people !!!

When we were in Texarkana last week, there were signs in people's yards that said,
" America , prayer our only hope" with 2 Chron. 7:14 underneath. We certainly need God's help!

After a day of contemplation and soul searching, I have decided to reach out to my friends and relatives and ask you to do something that has been troubling me for a long time.

Our nation is/has been on the slippery slope for a long time. If you look around you will find corruption, greed, moral decay, and a steady move away from the things that made us great. The principles upon which this nation was founded are no longer our backbone. However, we can reverse this trend.


2 Chron. 7:14, states, "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."

I am convinced that we must pray for our nation and its leaders and ask for forgiveness. So I ask you to join me in this plea to our Father in Heaven.

If you do and your friends too, we will lift up millions and millions of prayers a day to our Creator. He will hear us and in faith will answer.

Let me just add a quote from Ronald Reagan,

"If we ever forget that we are one nation under God,

then we will be a nation gone under."



I truly believe this is why the United States of America is in the shape we are in today. Most people have forgotten that we are one nation under God! Let us as Christians stand up and remind people of this. ~

Open doors, and closed windows...

To get something you never had, you have to do something you've never done. When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

Sunbeam Fun !!

Today in class we had visitors, and my little Sunbeams wanted to take pictures with my cell phone !! This is something we do from time to time ever since Ethan figured out my cell takes pictures !! So you can see what fun I have, teaching the Sunbeams I thought I'd share the pictures they took on my cell !!! Some are good pictures and some are just fun !!!

Today I ate some tuna which we bought at the "Big Box Store", it was their brand. Can I just say it was awful !!! I have decided there are just some things you need to eat the name brand or you're wasting your money !! Tuna is one of them !!




This my favorite brand which has never let me down in many years of eating tuna !! ( you thought I was going to say how long I have been eating tuna thus giving away my age, huh? LOL)







What are some things you have decided to eat only name brands? Share so I won't make the mistake of trying a brand that doesn't hold up !! Thanks

The Three Musketeers together again !!!

Robin's B-n-B room was open for business this week !! We had company and we had an awesome time !! Thank You Jeff, Julie and boys for making our home ring with laughter and good times !!! We can't wait for a return visit !!!

The house is very quiet now, something we didn't notice before !! We need some more poppers !!!!
