Join in the fun !!!

My niece Jessica sent me this on my cell it is very funny and I loved it !! I thought I would post it here to see what you might say to me in this situation !!!

Here's the scenario:

If you and I woke up in jail together, using only 4 words, what would you say to me?

I got an email from Hermana Scott today !!! She asks that everyone email her at DearElder.com while she is at the MTC !! It is free while she's there !! She says it brightens her days !!! So if you have a minute email her, you have to sign up but it's free !!! Her box number is 224 and her leaving date is 03/23/2010. You can also write to Elder Brunsvik at the same website !! I don't know his box number but there is a number on the website to call and they'll give them to you !!!

Her journey begins.

This morning I took Hill to the airport and she flew to Utah !! The mission begins. I created a blog for this time in our lives. Hill is going to share the "Good News" !!

This is what Hill is leaving to share with the Spanish speaking peoples of Arizona!!! I will miss her , but know she will be working with our Savior on the path he wants her to trod !!! I am in awe to think my Savior knows my Hill's name and called her thru our dear prophet to serve in His kingdom !! I am blessed beyond measure !!!

Happiness...

... the happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes their way !!!

Hill speaks today in Sacrament !!!

Hill speaks in church today, we are in count down mode !!! The missionary blessings are already arriving!! My mom who hasn't been to church since 1971 will be there today to hear her granddaughter speak !! My Aunt's and Uncle are also coming from Visalia and Tulare !! It will be the first time Hill and I have ever needed to save a row of seats in the chapel !!! I am so very humbled by the blessings already pouring in on our family, and grateful to Our Father in Heaven for his mercy on us in our weaknesses !!! I too am grateful for all of those who have taught Hill true and correct principles in classes and by the example of living truly worthy lives !!

My handbook for 2010 !!!

Someone sent this to me today and I thought with a few changes it could be a great handbook for the New Year !!! So I'm posting it to share and I will come back at the end of this year to see how I've done !!!

HANDBOOK 2010

Health:

1. Drink plenty of water, Sonic doesn't count !!!!!
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is
manufactured in plants.
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy.
5. Don't stress about things you can't change.
6. Play more games with those you love.
7. Read more books than you did in 2009.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
9. Sleep for at least 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Personality:

11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is
all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts. Instead invest your energy in the positive
present moment.
13. Don't over do. Know your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake!!!
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your family members about their
mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you, when you wake up every
day choose to be happy no matter the circumstance.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply
part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the
lessons you learn are forever.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...

Society:

25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something of yourself to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything period !!!!
28. Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day, it isn't that hard.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay
in touch.

Life:

32. Always do the right thing!!!!!!!!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. Remember Father in Heaven is in charge.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change, change is a constant.
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up !!
37. The best is yet to come!!!!!!!
38. When you awake in the morning, thank Father in Heaven first thing for
every blessing that is yours!!!!
39. Be happy.

My word is "Provident"

“Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.” Is my motto for this year !!!

I wish to be more provident in using my blessings more wisely. I truly believe when we stand before our Father in Heaven to be judged of our deeds, we will be held accountable for the way we used the resources (money) we were blessed with in this life !!! I realize I need to be more provident with my funds !!! As most of you know, I haven't shopped at Wal-Mart for about 4 years because they donate money to organizations which are trying to defeat the marriage amendment, this is one way I can vote on Wal-Mart's choices !!! What good does it do me to stand on the corner holding a sign to suppport "Prop 8" if I then go and spend my dollar in a store who will then donate part of the profits to defeat the very law I pray to be upheld??? So I pray to live more providently, that I may use my resources more wisely that I may help others often and freely !!! And never to spend it foolishly or in a place where it can be used against the purposes of our Father !!
