Okay now that I am offically divorced, I need a new hair-do !! I have chosen a few I like. I would like your ideas on them, vote for which one you think is really me !! LOL I have some that are dark but I am not looking to go dark, I just like the cut. Although I'm not adverse to possibly adding some low lights woven in underneath?? hmm The first one is my favorite !!

Texas here I come...

I will be in Texas this week for training. I do love Texas as I have been there many times in my career to teach classes and to take classes. This is the best time of year to be there for me because they do have a much higher humidity than California, and right now it will be cooler weather.

However I used to drive there as much as I could, but I am flying this time, can I just say scared !!!!!! And I developed a sinus/allergy thing this week and I will be flying with a stuffed up head !!

I also have a great fear of having to use the restroom on a plane and have had visions of wedging myself into the little tiny restroom and settling in just as we hit turbulence and ending up in the aisle, well you get the picture !!!! And old ladies don't get up so fast either !!!

Then there is my Primary class I will miss today as we are flying on Sunday !!! I now have a team teacher but I will miss them !!! Go little Sunbeams all will be well !!!

Then I will miss my baby girl, family and friends. I will have my cell though and will be in touch !!! I know you all will be looking after Hill, which makes it easier...

I will take pictures and post them on my return, so farewell my blogging buddies until next week !!

I want to be Pollyanna !!

I want to be like Pollyanna !! She found good in everything and enjoyed every day !! But most importantly she brightened up the lives of everyone around her. In other words she did not hide her light under a bushel basket, but put it out there to light the way for all she came in contact with !! This is one of my new goals, to be as "Pollyannaish" as possible !! So let me know when I'm failing...

Whose lonely?? That smell is tuna I swear !!!!

You know I am not often lonely, even if I'm alone. But there are days when I look like this picture (except she's much younger). Hill is at school and I have nothing to do but clean, and after a hard day I refuse to do that !!!! So in bed I lay... Then I had a thought I need to eat, so I made tuna which as you know makes the whole house smell !!! Of course now I'm afraid someone will show up !! LOL

I am outraged !!!

Tonight I was on the computer when the news came on, I didn't change the channel like I usually do. The top story was our new "president" is contemplating having our wounded soldiers pay for their own medical bills !! I am outraged and I don't know what we need to do but something must be done !! I can see this as the beginning of the end for our military if he succeeds !! They also said Russia is beefing up their military while we are not??

I say we need to remember the words of a prophet, “This work stands as an anchor of stability, an anchor of values, in a world whose values are shifting. We stand for something. Our values find their roots in the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. These are unchanging. They are today as they were when Jesus walked the earth. They are as applicable now as they were then. They have been tested in the cauldron of human history, and they have not been found wanting. We expect great things of our people. This religion is demanding. It requires self-discipline. It requires study and courage and faith. People are responding to this as they feel the ground under them shake with uncertainties in a world of crumbling values.” President Gordon B. Hinckley

Do you have any ideas, what can we do??

This is a gift too !!!

This is how I've been feeling lately about going to work. It is just another blah day...

But I know I need to snap out of it, because I have this marvelous gift of a job I can do and don't really hate. It is a gift from my Father in Heaven, for which I prayed. I have wondered how I would feel if Hill asked for a gift and then everyday after receiving the gift she moaned about the gift?? Please forgive me Father !!!

Thank You Father in Heaven for this gift !!!

Yesterday Hill actually taught her first lesson in Relief Society. Last month her lesson was cancelled by the Bishop of her ward for a special message to all of his ward single adults, about dating !!! (He says do it!!) She let me come and hear her teach, which was such a treat cuz I am always in Primary !!! But even more so cuz she was teaching !!! She did so good, I loved it !!! Of course I might be a bit prejudiced but I think others thought she did good too !! Can I just say today life is good !!! I am grateful that Heavenly Father blessed me with a daughter, in whom I am so proud !! Thanks for indulging me in this blog, I am just truly feeling blessed and cared for by my Father for He has brought us here on this long journey !!!

Girl's night is too fun !!

It was girl's night again and we all had a blast !! First the girls modeled Jamie's jewelry for her blog, second we ate lots of fun ethnic food and dessert !! and third we watched "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" again !! We really like that movie, but next time we are going to change it up a bit and get a newer chick flick !! I think the most fun was when Hill styled Melissa's hair and she impersonated her mother looking of her coffee (my sister-in-law is not LDS) in the morning !! We actually took video's of it and some how they are not on my camera now?? hmm I think Miss Mel deleted them ?? At least I have pictures tho !! We had a new friend join us, Jennie Northrup, her family used to live in our ward and she is now living here again with her Aunt Marlina !! She is a great find !! We had a blast !!! We're hoping to see lots more of her in our home !! And you all too, remember we love "Poppers" !!!

Being invisible can be beautiful.

You know how sometimes you feel invisible? Like no one knows your pain and you're just not that important or beautiful enough to draw anyones attention? Well I have felt that way on occasion, and when I got these pictures I realized being invisible can be beautiful, and tho "man" might not see how beautiful we are, our Father in Heaven always sees how wonderful we are !!! So I hope you all know how truly unique and special you are to me and to our Father in Heaven !! Love Ya all !!!!!!!!!

Here's to my new life !!!

I received a very important document in the mail on Saturday, from the Superior court !! My divorce is final on March 25. No matter how much you want something, 31 years is a lot of wasted time.

Here's to my new life and all that it entails. I have no idea if I will ever love again or if Heavenly Father's plan is for me to be single for the rest of this life... but go towards the future I will with my head held high !!!

So to celebrate I plan on decorating my own piece of Heaven on earth, this year. My bedroom has never been decorated since I moved into this house, very unlike me too, after all I used to have a deep raspberry pink bedroom and bathroom !!! So I was looking for an inspiration and I found it !! I'll be taking it slow tho cuz along with the divorce came "poverty" of sorts!! LOL (don't be feeling sorry for me this is not the point of this blog, I have a great job and enough to pay the bills, which is more than some have) so I'm just saying I'll be doing a little at a time !! Tell me what you think of the pictures and any advice on how to accomplish this task on a dime will be greatly appreciated !!

The Law of the garbage truck

I received this in an email, it is how I want to look at every day. Someday's I make it and others I don't... today I believe I made it.

I was holding a hearing and a man was yelling at me, when I didn't respond in kind he cooled down. When he realized I truly wanted to help him, he even thanked me for not getting caught up in his issues... imagine that, he recognized he had issues and I had not taken offense !!

"Law of the Garbage Truck"

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly. So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

That is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.' He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets. The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so...Love the people who treat you right and Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!
Have a great , garbage-free day!

How are you?

This is a symbol of Sisterhood. I loved it when I found it and thought I'd share it with you.
My thought today was how are all of my sisters? Have I done enough for them? and what could I do, to be better at this sisterhood I cherish?
So if you need to reach me I thought I'd put my email on here today and if you ever need me you can go to my email and I will send you my cell number so you can call me for whatever I can doto help you.

I saw this game on another blog, it is really cool. I hope you want to play with me !!!

The rules: At the end of this post I will ask a question, how you play, you go to comments and answer the question on the comment before you. Then you leave a question for the next person to answer !! It is really fun, and you can come back and answer as many times as you want to !! I hope you'll play with me, and we'll see where it goes !! Love to you all !!

Question: Have you ever been talking to someone and later looked at your teeth in the mirror only to find something green there?

The Red Envelope project !!

Red Envelope project - Please be a part of it!

I took this from another blog - and absolutely need to be a part of it! Get a red envelope. (You can buy them at Kinkos, or at party supply stores.)

On the front, address it to:

President Barack Obama
The White House1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington , D.C. 20500

On the back, write the following message:“This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world.”

We will mail these on March 31st, 2009. The hope is we send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died [in the U.S.] before having a chance to live. It may seem that those who believe abortion is wrong are in a minority. It may seem like we have no voice and it's shameful to even bring it up. Let us show our President and the world that the voices of those of us who do not believe abortion is acceptable are not silent and must be heard. Together let's pray we can change the heart of The President and save the lives of millions of children. Please forward or link to or copy this post to your own blog.
