You may not know but Saturday night as we were babysitting for my Niece and Nephew-in-law (for their anniversay dinner out), Hill had a very bad attack and was transported to the hospital in an ambulance.
I'll tell you how ill she was, she didn't even notice the paramedics were adorable and she was covered in vomit.... Ask me sometime and I'll sing their praises as they cleaned her up themselves !!!
She was so sick she even let me call the paramedics, I knew she was ill then. She is someone who had a rod put in her spine when she was twelve and walked out of the hospital 6 days later without any pain medicine !! She can take pain like no one I know !! So when she was on the floor ill and let me call, my mommie instincts were all crazy !! I was freaking out... but it all came together and I will tell you about my amazing helpers in another blog !!!
Well after 15 and a 1/2 hours in the hospital, thru the emergency room, they took out her gallbladder labroscopically !! They sent her home a scant 3 hours later and she is now home resting sort of comfortably !!
I thought I'd post what it's about below, read it only if you can !!!
What Gallbladders Do
Location of Gallbladder
Step 1:The gallbladder can be found behind the liver, on the right side. It is connected to the small intestine, which is in turn connected to the liver by small ducts. Bile moves through these ducts, to and from the gallbladder. The primary duct, which is common to the gallbladder and liver, is appropriately called the common bile duct. The bile that moves through these ducts is yellow in color, and bitter. It contains waste materials filtered from the blood by the liver. The bile travels from the liver, through the bile ducts, and then some of the bile is stored in the gallbladder, while the rest flows directly into the small intestine. The bile helps break down the fats in the small intestine, but it also is an antioxidant.
Problems With Gallbladders
Step 1:In some people, gallbladders can become irritated, swollen, blocked or develop stones. If there is a chance that it could burst, then immediate removal of the gallbladder will be recommended. When the gallbladder is removed, the flow of bile from the liver and digestive tract no longer runs smoothly. This means that people who have had their gallbladder removed must be careful about how much fat they eat in their food, what kinds of foods they eat and some may even need to take bile supplements for the rest of their lives.

That is good info. Joel asked me what a gall bladder is and what it does...now I can tell him! :) Glad she got it taken care of and is resting now. Watch some Dick Van Dyke and make her LOL. :)Love ya!
Thanks Allyson for all you do !! the dinner was delicious and Hill ate it up too !! But the cupcakes were the biggest hit, she took one before each time she took her pain meds !! So your cupckaes have healing powers !! LOL
Maybe you should have a medical blog also:) Hope Hillary is feeling better tonight! Love you both....
I am a bit crazy with the blogs !! huh ? I have one for everything !! haha Thanks for my treasures and the visit !! I really needed company and having you in my messy house was great !! I have come along way, used to if my home looked like this I would not let anyone in !! But if I wait until my house is perfect I'd never have company !! LOL
I hope Hillary is feeling better. I hate it when my kids are sick!
Thank You Melissa, she is not doing too good tonight !! She is not able to keep anything down tonight !!! And the doctor said to take her off the pain medicine, because it is probably the culprit, but she can't even keep Advil down so I am praying things look better tomorrow !! Between losing everything she takes in and the pain she is not too happy, but is as sweet as ever !! Thanks to really great friends and family we are surviving for now !!
Thank heaven for modern medicine and priesthood blessings. I'm glad everything went well for Hillary. What a great mom you are!! Also, thanks for the education.
